return to the studio

So after a longer trip in the UK than first anticipated, I will be back in St John's by the end of the week.  How have I been doing with yoga in England?  Well, I have been practicing yoga on my mat and also while out on walks and I have found it to be something that I do enjoy, however I am feeling that I want to know more, I love to walk, and think and explore these new techniques I have been shown and guided through while at the studio but  I still feel that the discipline of my own practice needs work. I am not able to devote as much time in one session as I do in the studio and this is where I feel the studio can provide that key ingredient to anyone wanting to make yoga a daily part of their lifestyle; it provides the space and time to train, to become disciplined and to learn to focus.

This is where the yoga I do away from the studio, and the yoga I do in the classes still differ and I know that given time, the classes will expand my focus and dedication into my daily practice outside of the studio; but for me at the moment, being able to have a guide through this process and to learn new techniques is invaluable.

By being able to attend classes, then work on this on my own away from the studio has been a great challenge for me, and now to be able to come back into the studio for the last part of my three month challenge, then this will allow my journey to become a full circle.  I look forward to being able to join in the studio classes once again and continue in my yoga journey.
